VALIDATION TECHNICIAN
AliveDx is recruiting for a Validation Technician to join the Engineering, Facilities & Validation team based near Penicuik (EH26 0BF). The role is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours Monday - Friday.
As a Validation Technician, you will support the planning and execution of validation activities that ensure our manufacturing processes, equipment and systems consistently meet regulatory and quality requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in Validation within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment, with full departmental training provided.
YOUR MISSION
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the execution of validation studies in line with agreed schedules and quality standards.
- Assisting with process, cleaning, equipment, facilities and computerised systems validation activities.
- Assisting in the preparation of validation protocols, study plans and reports.
- Recording validation data accurately and maintaining complete validation records.
- Ensuring validation activities and documentation comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting investigations into validation issues, including out-of-specification (OOS) or out-of-trend (OOT) results under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to the review of validation procedures and documentation.
- Supporting quality, regulatory and customer audits where required.
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- A good academic background, ideally educated to Higher, Standard Grade or A-Level equivalent.
- An interest in engineering, science or validation within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good numeracy and basic IT skills.
- The ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in a GMP, laboratory or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
