QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY ASSISTANT

 

AliveDx are recruiting a Quality Control Lab Assistant to join the QC Microbiology & Chemistry Department.  The purpose of the role is to provide a range of laboratory-based support duties to the Quality Control department of AliveDx. 

 

The role is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. This is to be based in our ARC facility near Edinburgh, EH26 0BF.


YOUR MISSION

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Conduct all duties in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and appropriate regulatory requirements.
  • Execute and control specific processes and sampling procedures in accordance with SOP's, GMP and Health and Safety Policies ensuring consistency and compliance with all operational policies.
  • Record data in batch records and other relevant documentation to provide a permanent and precise record of all work carried out. 
  • Participation in the receipt, processing and storage of samples from production areas.
  • Supporting the process for analyst testing of in process and final product testing.
  • Support the collection and processing of QC samples taken throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Participate in daily, weekly and monthly cleans of the laboratory and equipment.
  • Monitoring the safe operation, control and maintenance of equipment in accordance with established procedures to minimise delays to work programmes and ensure a safe working environment

 

 

YOUR COMPETENCIES

 

  • HNC or HND in a Science based subject and/or appropriate experience in a lab-based environment.
  • Must have knowledge of and some experience with core IT packages i.e. MS Office.
  • Clear communication in spoken and written form.
  • Team player and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and respond flexibly.
  • Able to manage workload with appropriate attention to getting the job done while being result orientated.
  • Good organisational skills and time management.
