PROJECT MANAGER
We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Alba Product Development Team based at our ARC site near Penicuik, EH26 0BF. This role is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday.
The Project Manager has responsibility for the planning, implementation, monitoring and control of specific assigned projects within Alba, working with the project team to ensure that all project outputs are delivered in compliance with Alba design control and project management procedures.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and coordinate the design and execution of projects within Alba as assigned.
- Lead and manage projects teams in a matrix organisation.
- Organise and chair project meetings as required to meet the project delivery schedule.
- Effectively manage external suppliers to ensure delivery of external project objectives.
- Work with the Project Sponsor, Technical Leads and Project Team to deliver the assigned project objectives according to the agreed project plan.
- Work with the Project Sponsor, Technical Leads and Project Team to ensure all project outputs are delivered in compliance with Alba design control procedures.
- Ensure all projects assigned and work undertaken is compliant with Alba Design Control and project management procedures.
- Monitor project progress and provide formal reports to senior management and project teams as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOURS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific subject or equivalent.
- PM experience, with experience of managing several projects simultaneously
- Experience leading/managing cross functional project teams.
- Good knowledge of methodologies and techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling project.
- Strong knowledge and experience of appropriate IT packages such as MS Project and MS Office applications.
