PRODUCTION OPERATOR 

 

AliveDx are recruiting for 3 Production Operators to join our Manufacturing Department based at our site near Penicuik (EH26 0BF). The purpose of these roles is to support the manufacture of high-quality diagnostic products in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). All roles are  full-time, permanent working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, with 2 of the available positions required to work on a three weekly rotating shift pattern of 0600-1400, 0900-1700 & 1400-2200 where an additional shift allowance is payable.

 

YOUR MISSION

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure products are manufactured in line with TROPOS/Standard Operating Proceduress.

  • Maintain accurate and legible records to ensure relevant laboratory documentation is kept in a satisfactory condition.

  • Maintain equipment, in accordance with agreed procedures, ensuring equipment is operating correctly.

  • Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to TROPOS/SOP. Processes may include:

    • Buffer/Reagent preparation,

    • filtration and filling of buffers/reagents to be progressed to a clean room environment,

    • adsorption of unwanted antibodies,

    • conversion of plasma donations to serum,

    • the concentration, potentiation, dilution and / or formulation of monoclonal antibodies,

    • check and maintain liquid nitrogen storage area and stocks,

    • ensure sufficient consumables are available for scheduled fills,

    • ensure labels are printed and available for scheduled fills,

    • ensure relevant material is filtered according to procedures and in time for scheduled fills,

    • label and pack product to meet relevant specifications according to schedule.

  • Participate in continuous training and assessment in accordance with personal development plan.

  • Physcially demaning role with routine manual handling of up to 20 litres/kgs.

  • Conduct all duties in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and appropriate regulatory requirements.

 

YOUR COMPETENCIES 

  • Standard Grade or equivalent in English and Mathematics

  • Experiance in similar industry or lab based enviroment is desirable

  • Excellent communication, attention to detail and IT skills

  • Experience of working in a fast paced, team-working environment

  • Fluent spoken and written English

  • Experience within a GMP laboratory environment desirable

  • Should ideally be available to work occasional weekend overtime when required
