GTS FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (ENTRY LEVEL)
AliveDx is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our Technical Service team in the UK. We are looking for one engineer to be based in the South (preferably near the M40 corridor, between London and Birmingham). This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for recent graduates or those looking to start their career in the field of engineering and/or applications.
YOUR MISSION
Your main responsibilities will include:
– Resolve 1st or 2nd Level customer questions and/or problems involving the AliveDx MosaiQ™ solution.
– Assisting with troubleshooting problems and escalating complex issues to senior engineers when needed.
– Manage the process for handling product returns RMAs (Return Material Authorization) with customers and partners.
– Communicate regularly with customers to learn about their business challenges and provide solutions.
– Provide on-site or remote technical support, presentations and demonstrations.
– Ensuring customer needs are addressed promptly, aiming for first-time resolution whenever possible.
– Collaborating with teams to investigate issues and contribute to solutions.
– Support Senior Engineers in resolving tough problems in high pressure situations.
– Participate in risk analysis as part of customer complaint investigations.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
– HND, HNC, degree or equivalent in an Engineering, Electronics and or/ life sciences or similar field.
– No prior experience required, though any experience in customer service, technical support or engineering is a plus.
– A keen interest in technology/science and learning new skills in a fast-paced environment.
YOUR COMPETENCIES
– Confident and effective communicator with the ability to engage with customers in a positive and professional manner.
– An ability to approach problems with a logical, analytical mindset to support problem solving and troubleshooting.
– Basic knowledge of IT, networking and security concepts.
– Basic IT skills and familiarity with e-mail, and Microsoft Office programs.
– Knowledge and experience of implementing LIS (Laboratory Information System) connectivity using protocol ASTM or HL7 would be advantageous.
– Experience with and/or certified in regulatory environments GMP and ISO13485 desirable.
– Ability to commit to regular travel across the UK with some international travel.
