INDUSTRIAL PROCESS DESIGN SCIENTIST

 

AliveDx is seeking an Industrial Process Design Scientist to join our Manufacturing Function based in Eysins, Switzerland. This is a full-time and permanent position.


YOUR MISSION

The Industrial Process Design team ensures the scalability of the manufacturing process, by overseeing, designing, and developing manufacturing process and parameters for the MosaiQ product, among others with its under development manufacturing pilot line. This is performed by ensuring manufacturability requirements and introducing best industry practices, such as identifying, designing, developing and transferring of process steps based on biological, chemical and physical analytical methods.

 

As part of this team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Be the primary scientist on a pilot line for a highly innovative micro-array manufacturing process.
  • Provide scientific and technical guidelines to new products under transfer through the pilot facilities.
  • As scientist, manage the mini-pilot line, incl. but not limited to its way of working, access, upgrades.
  • With the newly developed pilot equipment, facilitate the transfer to manufacturing environment.
  • Support / Lead process scale up activities of new manufacturing process and product design.
  • Work together with a team of scientists and technicians to define manufacturing process parameters.
  • Conduct scientific experimental and theoretical investigations related to process steps, e.g. on printability of bio-chemical probes, substrates, biochemical formulations, biochemistry, solution rheological properties and other fluidic characterizations.
  • Participate in and / or undertake projects with external partners.
  • Stay informed on scientific and technical literature as well as industrial standards and best practices to ensure robust high-quality processes.  
  • Participate in process risk mitigation actions, such as through in-process control (online and offline IPC), support or undertake their implementation, liaise with overall IPC strategy, and process register.
  • Support knowledge sharing and management (e.g. internal papers, reports or training).

 

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Master’s degree or PhD in science or engineering (chemistry, physics or enginerring)
  • Experienced with manufacturing process or quality control within Life Sciences and/or medical devices sector.
  • Strong technical and scientific competencies, with a focus on high-tech manufacturing technologies, fluidics, silicon technology, surface chemical coating or printing technologies.
  • Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work effectively at interfaces between teams, departments, and functions.
  • Fluent in English, proficiency in French is highly desirable.
