ASSAY TECHNICAL SUPPORT SCIENTIST

AliveDx is recruiting for an Assay Technical Support Scientist to join the R&D team based in Eysins, Switzerland. The role is a full-time permanent position working.
YOUR MISSION
As an Assay Technical Support Scientist, you will provide specialized scientific expertise within the R&D department, focusing on assay technical investigations and performance evaluation studies.
You will :
- Lead investigations into customer complaints to confirm or exclude assay performance issues, identify root causes, assess product impact, and recommend pragmatic CAPAs.
- Contribute to the planning, management, and execution of performance evaluation studies, generating critical data for product verification, validation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across teams and with external partners to ensure robust, timely, and regulatory-compliant outcomes.
This role requires strong scientific knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a solution-oriented mindset to support the robustness and regulatory compliance of MosaiQ® and IFA-related assays.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead or co-lead technical investigations for customer complaints of pre- and post-launched products, including MosaiQ and IFA assays, reagents, and system controls, and recommend pragmatic CAPAs.
- Provide planning, design, and execution of assay performance evaluation studies, in compliance with applicable Regulatory Guidelines, ISO standards, and Design Control requirements.
- Strongly contribute to sample sourcing, handling, and characterization to ensure study suitability.
- Perform laboratory experiments and data analyses, generating evidence to support complaint resolution, performance verification/validation, and assay improvement.
- Liaise with external collaborators (e.g., suppliers, evaluation partners) to support complaint investigations and study execution.
- Prepare and review formal documentation (protocols, reports, SOPs, presentations), ensuring clarity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Strongly collaborate effectively with operational and project teams to ensure efficient and coordinated progress.
- Train and support colleagues in laboratory procedures, complaint handling, or study execution to build internal expertise and ensure knowledge transfer across teams.
- Actively maintain awareness of scientific and technical literature, best practices, and regulatory expectations relevant to immunoassays and IVD products.
- Promote the continuous improvement of evaluation processes related to customer complaints of pre- and post-launched products.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the company in line with the role.
YOUR COMPETENCIES

Advanced Degree in a relevant scientific discipline
Strong background in immunoassay techniques.
- Proven experience in technical complaint investigations, project work, or study work packages.
- Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Spotfire, Matlab, R).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively.
